On February 26, 2019 in Ankara, with the assistance of the Embassy of the Kyrgyz Republic in Turkey, a visit of Kyrgyz delegation headed by S.Toktokolotov, Deputy Chairman of the State Migration Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic. The delegation included representatives of the State Migration Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Criminal Police Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime was organised. 

The Kyrgyz side held talks with Turkish delegations led by Saadettin Akyil, the General Director of the General Directorate of the International Labor Force of the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services, and Abdullah Ayaz, the General Director of the General Directorate of the Migration Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

During the talks, issues of cooperation in the field of migration policy, prevention of unregulated migration, smuggling of migrants, human trafficking, etc. were discussed. There was an exchange of views and information on the current legislation in two countries governing the stay and employment of foreign citizens.

The parties drew attention to the need to strengthen cooperation between the competent authorities through the State Migration Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Services of Turkey, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the General Directorate of the Migration Administration of the Ministry of the Interior of Turkey.
